There are plenty of events to go and a lot to know about special exceptions in Paris on occasion of Easter. But first, you have to know that you are very lucky to be in Paris in April. That is because the weather is good. Even when it’s cold, you can enjoy sunny days. Paris in Spring is wonderful.

Easter 2020 dates and weather forecasts

Easter 2020 is on April 12. If you come to Paris to celebrate Easter 2020, I suggest to note down other special dates too. Good Friday is April 10, and April 13 is Easter Monday. Usually, during these days people love to plan a day-trip outside Paris. That is why I suggest remaining in the city!

Festivities are great to understand the French People and their traditions.

…Also, they usually propose many events and concerts to go to, on Easter!

Weather forecasts for Easter 2020 are good! April is one of the best months to visit Paris. That is because the weather is not too cold or too warm. The temperature average in April 2020 in Paris is 57 F° (14 C°).

Usually, the weather in April is rainy with many “sunny breaks” during the day! Anyway, if you are coming to Paris for Easter, you will see how the city changes at the beginning of the Spring.

Open museums at Easter

Museums in Paris

If you are going to celebrate Easter in Paris, you might want to know which attractions are free. On Sunday 21st and on Easter Monday 22nd, many museums will be open for free.

Some of the most important museums that you can access for free during Easter are:

  • Louvre Museum;
  •  Musée Rodin;
  •  The Musée Picasso;
  •  Musée d’Orsay.

It can be useful to know that museums like the Petit Palais and the Carnavalet ones are close both days.

Where are the Easter celebrations

I think that one of the best things you can do for Easter in Paris is to attend a mass in one of the beautiful churches of the city. Even if you don’t know French, it’s very interesting to explore the local culture.

If you are looking for Easter eggs or bunnies, I recommend going to Parc André Citroen and join or even just see the egg hunting. It is really fun!

Don’t forget that April in Paris is the month of chocolate! You can join many events themed on this exceptional food. I truly recommend going in some of the most famous chocolates in the city. Note down the Alain Ducasse or the Jacques Genin ones!
