bio shop in Paris

Ten years ago it was really difficult to find a bio shop in Paris, but now a lot of things have changed. In fact, Paris had a real organic revolution a few years ago that led many Parisians to prefer the organic food to the commercial one.  Inevitably, the number of the so called bio shops  increased and now there is a big amount of options, like big chain shops and independent ones. There are also three open-air markets, Marché Batignolles, Marché Raspail, and Marché Brancusi, exclusively organic.

This is one of the biggest chains in France because since it was created, in 1973, it kept on expanding and now it has more than 130 shops. Naturalia offers fresh fruits and vegetables, grocery stores with also dietary products and over 4,000 certified organic food products. Major stores are in 119 Rue de Montreuil, 11 Rue Montorgueil and 164 Rue Cardinet.

This is another chain that has shops in many French cities and it has almost twenty shops just in Paris. Les nouveaux Robinson opened the first shop in Montreuil in 1993 and than it became an important chain. It has shops in 70 Rue du Cherche-Midi, 140 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine and 13 Cours de Vincennes.

Biocoop is primarily a network of independent people engaged. In fact, as the name suggest, it is a cooperative of organic shops like Le Retour à la Terre Rive Gauche (1 Rue le Goff) that sells not only regional specialities like wine, beer, tarte, salads and other groceries but also organic and homeopathic beauty and health products like make-up and lotions.

We might consider this shop as the heaven for all organic fan-girls, as the name might suggest. It is, in fact, an organic beauty shop where you can find anything you need like make-up, perfumes, deodorants, soaps, lotions and many others things.

This is another organic food chain really famous in France, it has more than fifty shops just in Paris, many others in the south of France and some even in Madrid and Milan. In a Bio C’Bon you can find food, wine, beauty products and also baby food.

Considered as one of the first organic independent shop in Paris, Canal Bio boasts an impressive selection of fresh bread, dried fruits and grains in bulk, and a large selection of natural cosmetics and household cleaners. It is located in 46, Quai de la Loire.
