Events in Paris on January 2020
On January 2020 Paris Events will be a lot! That is also because of the enthusiasm for the New Year! January 1, 2020, is the Jour de l’An, the New Year’s Day. It is a French National Holiday. So, you will admire Paris in its celebrations. If you love New Year’s celebrations as I do, you need to note down another date! One of the most important events in Paris during January 2020 is the Chinese New Year parade in Paris and the Lantern Festival. It starts on January 25 but you can celebrate it during the following days too.
Another of the most important Paris Events in January 2020 are winter sales! Winter sales in Paris, also known as Soldes d’Hiver, start at the beginning of January, usually in the second week of the month. Fashion week in Paris in January 2020 is the place to be for fashion victims. On January 2020 there will be two Winter fashion weeks in Paris! The first is about men clothing, from January 14 to Sunday 19; the second one, from January 20 to January 23, is dedicated to Haute Couture.

February is a special month to spend in Paris because of Saint Valentine’s Day! Anyway, even if you might think that there might be too sweet for your taste, you can celebrate Valentine’s Day in Paris in an unconventional way. Just think that there will be a Valentine’s Day Run in Parc des Buttes Chaumont (arrondissement 19)! It will be on February 16. Info about the timetable is TBA. It is the event to go if you love love since it celebrates love for everyone, without discriminations.
February also is the month of Carnival! You can celebrate Carnival 2020 in Paris going to the traditional celebrations that will take place on February 23. The traditional parade will start at 2 pm. You will spot it along Belleville Street and at Place de la République.
Another event in Paris on February 2020 to go is the Retromobile Vintage Car Show. It is one of the most attended auto-show. There will be over 600 stands! The date to save is from February 5 to the 9th and the place to go is Porte de Versailles.
If you are more into agriculture, you must go to Salon Agriculture! It is an international agricultural show. There, you can join lots of farm activities to challenge yourself and see if you can handle this peculiar lifestyle. Paris Events on March 2020
If you are coming to Paris in the latest days of February or on March the 1st, you have the chance to join the Semi de Paris. It is the Paris Half-Marathon of March 2020 open to everyone! It is the event in Paris in March 2020 to go if you will put “become fitter” on your New Year’s things to achieve! Also, the half-marathon gives the chance to visit some of the most beautiful parks in Paris: Bois de Vincennes, the Parc Zoologique de Paris… Part of the route is along the Seine river too! It is the Salon du Tourism, an event where you will find everything about the latest tourism trends. If you are curious enough to go, the Salon will take place at Porte de Versailles, from March 12 to March 15.

Paris Events on April 2020
Paris Events in April 2020 are all about art and Easter! But first, note down that French people celebrate April Fools Day too! Be very careful at their jokes on the occasion of the so-called Poisson d’Avril.
As the first actual Paris Event in April 2020 to go, I would suggest the Art Fair at the Grand Palais. It is a contemporary art huge exhibition. Paintings and artworks come from more than 145 galleries from all over the world! It will take place from Apri 2 to April 5.
As in March, booklovers have the chance to visit one of the greatest international rare book & fine art fair in Paris on April 2020. The huge showcase will take place at the Grand Palais. From the 24th of April to the 26th, Grand Palais rooms will be filled with manuscripts, maps, prints, drawings, and photographs. They will be about European cultural history.
If you would like to spend Easter in Paris, the dates you have to note down are the sacred ones. Good Friday is on April 10, Easter Sunday is on April 12 and Easter Monday on the 13th. April 13th is a French National Holiday. This means that you have the possibility to see how Parisians celebrate Easter. It is the perfect situation to deepen French culture.
Paris lovers might already know how this city is important for many Expos. You can live this special experience of going to the Paris Expo in April 2020. It is an event about European home interiors and outdoors (gardens, etc). And, if you want, you can also take a look at the wine and gastronomy stands. Paris Expo will take place from April 30 to May 11 at Porte de Versailles.
Paris Event on May 2020
The first event in Paris in May 2020 takes place on the first day of the month. That is because is the Fete du Travail, Labour’s Day.
French people care a lot about this celebration. To join them, I suggest going to the big parade that starts from Bastille. Also, on May the 1st is a very important day to Parisians since it means the beginning of Spring too. It also means that you are in one of the best parts of the year to enjoy Paris!
After a few days, you can join another important France celebration. On May 8, you can go to the Arc de Triomphe to watch the Fete de la Victoire. Close to the Unknown Soldier’s Tomb, you can remember the surrounding of Nazis that happened on May 7, 1945. Celebrations usually start in the morning, around 10 am but more information is to be announced.
If you would like to celebrate Paris culture and Parisian taste, explore Paris through lifestyle and traditions and, once in the city, go to the Foire de Paris. It is a fair where you can find indoor and outdoor design objects. It will last until May 11 in the Grand Palais!
A great Paris Event in May 2020 to go is the Night of Museums! Known as Nuit des Musées, during that night you can visit many museums in Paris with special tours. Also, there are special discounts too! The real plus is that you can access to permanent collections of many museums for free, but I always recommend verifying with ones will join this important event. The official date is still TBA.
One other great event which dates still must be announced is the Roland-Garros Tournament. Also known as French International, since 1925 is one of the four greatest tennis tournaments (Grand Slams). The real recommendation is to watch at their official site to know the full program as soon as possible. This way, you can grab your ticket in time to see at least one match!
Paris Events on June 2020
As in May, also June 1, 2020, in Paris is an official holiday. It is a public day of rest during when you can fully experience the Parisian culture and relation with religion. That is because Whit Monday celebrates the day after Pentecost. Actually, it is also known as Pentecost Mondays and it is a Christian calendar moveable feast. This year, you can celebrate it in Paris on June the 1st.
There are two more moveable fests in June 2020. Actually, Mother’s Day 2002 in Paris is on June 7.
The same exception is for dads since Father’s Day 2020 in Paris is on June 21st. As I mentioned before, these all are occasions to see how French people behave in these celebrations. Anyway, if you are not in the mood, Paris always proposes many alternatives on what to do. Also, if you hate this type of celebrations, you can opt for taking a trip outside the city!
If you visit Paris in June and you would like to see how Parisian deal with a green lifestyle, I suggest going to the We Love Green festival. It is a festival where you can see how rock, pop, and electronic music is related to nature. It will be on Saturday 6 and Sunday the 7th in the magnificent Bois de Vincennes wood.
During the same week-end, from Friday the 5th to Monday 8 April 2020 there is Naturally Paris! That is the meeting point for all bio and organic food lovers! It is the perfect event in Paris in June 2020 for those who love wellness, health, and fitness too. It usually is at Porte de Versailles but I always suggest taking a look at the Naturally Paris official site.
Paris Events on July 2020
If you visit Paris in July 2020, you can enjoy a cheerful atmosphere. In July there is the perfect match of Parisians that aren’t on holiday yet, travelers and tourists. They all mix together in the most welcoming events of the year.
As the first event in Paris to go in July 2020, I suggest going to Paris Plages: Parisian beaches along the Seine and in Parc de la Villette. What is special about Paris plages is that they are the stage of many events. Sports, Concerts, DJ sets, tango performances… They all happen at Paris plages! Also, this is one of the things you can do in Paris for free.
The most important event of the month is THE celebration of Parisians and French people: Bastille Day. It is always emotional joining the celebration for July 14. The parades begin in the very center of Paris, close to l’Avenue des Champs-Elysees.
Paris Jazz Festival in July 2020 is another of the greatest events to go. If you love jazz music or you would just like to listen to someone very talented, you must follow the program of Paris Jazz Festival. More information are to be announced but the Festival lasts all month: if you are coming to Paris in July, you should have the chance to listen to something special. If you are into jazz music, take a look at the best Jazz clubs in Paris!
If you are into music, you shouldn’t miss Lollapalooza either! This year, the famous rock music festival will be in Paris. From July 18 to the 19th, you can listen to many concerts by going to the Hippodrome de Longchamp.
One of the most unconventional events in Paris in July 2020 is “Electroland”. It is a special event in Disneyland Paris on 4th July 2020. What is happening is a replay of a successful event of 2018. Many famous DJs will perform in Disneyland and a great part of this amusement park in Paris become a dance-floor!
One more date to save is July 19. It’s the day of the final stage of the Tour de France 2020! If you are in France during those days, you can’t miss the chance of seeing something historical!
