Paris Museum Pass

Museums in Paris are important attractions and landmarks of the city. Many of them host masterpieces that you have to see at least once in a lifetime.

The best thing to do to be sure of not wasting your time in very long lines is to buy the Paris Museum pass if you can’t take advantage of other reductions such as the under 26. Here I recommend the one that I think is the best for those who are in Paris for the holidays.

The pass that I love lets you visit the main museums in the city. The reasons why I think this is the best-recommended pass for museums in Paris are two:

  • the cost: you won’t buy single tickets but just one pass;
  • because you will save time by avoiding all the single lines for tickets.

Just think about the most important: Louvre, Versailles, the Orsay museum, the Pompidou center… The full list counts about 60 museums! You can access all of these without doing a single queue!

Paris Museum Pass is for who is traveling on a budget too.

The Pass for museums in Paris can be valid from 2 up to 6 days. You choose. After you bought it, you can print it or show it on your phone. Buy the Paris Museum Pass here!

If you choose to buy this pass, you can book it online and take it to the Tourist Office at Rue d’Aboukir 23. It is 10 minutes walking from the Louvre museum. If you prefer, you can go there by metro getting off at Palais Royal Musèe du Louvre or Louvre – Rivoli metro stations. If you prefer going there by bus, you can take one of the following lines: 21, 24, 27, 39, 48, 68, 69 72, 76, 81 or 95.

Louvre, Museums in Paris

Louvre is one of the most famous art museums in the world. Just think about its pyramid! It truly is one of the symbols of Paris, leaving aside all the artworks. The designer of this architectural masterpiece is Pierre Lescot. After him, there were Jean Goujon and Fontaine.

Louvre museum is practically a sacred place for art lovers. That is why you need a proper dress code to visit it. Even if the outside is very warm, remember that inside you must be respectful.

paris river cruise

Cruise from Musée d’Orsay

The cruise that I recommend after visiting one of the most fascinating museums in Paris, the museum of Orsay is this one. That is because it does a tour that I like. It comprehends Canal Saint-Martin and a big portion of the Seine River. By participating in this tour, you will see attractions such as Notre Dame cathedral with a different perspective.

I think that it is comfortable that this tour is bookable online. Plus, it lasts 2 hours and a half during you listen to a certificate guide that speaks in English or French.

Another thing that I like about the cruise on the Seine after the museum is that by booking this experience in advance, I know what I am paying for and how much. It is very useful to know information like these when you are abroad!

stade de france

Stade de France Museum

You might be not always in the mood to visit one of the museums in Paris. But, if you are into soccer, you can’t miss the possibility to join a very special tour in Stade de France. It is one of the most famous stadiums in the nation and if you go to Paris you have the chance to visit it!

You may remember the Stade de France if you remember the World Cup of 1998 or the 2016 Europeans. Its capacity is huge! Just think that the seats are 81.338!

Even if you do not are into soccer, I think that the tour of this stadium may be very interesting. You can visit a very peculiar architecture designed by Aymeric Zublena, Michel Regembal, and Michel Macary.

The tour that I recommend doing lasts about 90 minutes, just like a soccer match! It costs around 16 dollars and the tour is in the English language too.

What I like about this tour is that by joining this, you can access to private areas such as the lockers room. You will know everything about the history of the Stadium and about the main events that took place there.

Cité Nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration

museum paris
When you are in Paris, you immediately understand that immigrants are very well integrated into French culture. That is because, in the late 20th century, many people wanted to be an active part of the integration process.

The Cité nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration, along with museums such as the Guimet, are places to visit to understand how this happened. The Cité Nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration is the perfect narration of what immigrants had given to the world of art, not only in Europe and not only in France!!!

You can learn something by looking at the artworks and objects exhibited. Or, you can learn also through the photography of masters as Eugène Atget, Gérald Bloncourt, Robert Capa…

To go to the Cité nationale de l’histoire de l’immigration, you need to go to arrondissement 12, in avenue Daumesnil. If you want to take the metro, get off at Porte Dorée station! museum architecture parisCité de l’architecture et du Patrimoine

The Cité de l’architecture et du Patrimoine is the mandatory stage for those who are into architecture, design, and anthropology!

The Cité de l’architecture et du Patrimoine is close to the Musée de l’Homme and I recommend visiting both. That is because you can learn a lot about humanity and its history. Plus, history is connected to the power to create art while doing something functional, as it happens with architecture.

What I love the most about the Cité de l’architecture et du Patrimoine is the reproduction of the Hunité d’Habitation by Le Corbusier and the area dedicated to the renewal of Notre-Dame cathedral by Viollet le Duc.

This museum dedicated to architecture is in Trocadero. If you are not in the very center of Paris, you can get off at that metro station. Opening hour is from 11 am to 7 pm, and the closing day is Tuesday. Ticket prices may vary but there are price reductions or free access for people under 26, and professionals as journalists or tourism workers.
