Paris in 5 days, the plan I recommend
If you want to see Paris in 5 days, here is a plan that you can follow. You must not follow every stage of this. It is just a way to give you some ideas about how to
plan your Parisian days.
Before suggesting a program for every day, I want you to know that here you can find information that is useful regardless of how long you stay in Paris.
Plus, consult the section dedicated to the month on the main page to know what will be the weather like. Let’s see which is my proposal for a Paris in 5 days experience.
Paris in 5 days – Day 1
If you are visiting Pars in 5 days, begin with the city center. Go straight to Trocadero station by metro or by bus. From there, you can walk to the Eiffel Tower. As always, I suggest buying a ticket in advance or book a tour to be sure to have a skip the line ticket.
After the Tour Eiffel, you can sit on a bateau mouche and take part in a cruise on the Seine. It is one of the most fascinating ways to see Paris.
I suggest going to Le Marais district for lunchtime. There, you will find lots of traditional cafès where you can taste the original Parisian cuisine. The exploration of Le Marais is what you can do till evening. This is because it is a district full of attractions. The landscape is absolutely mixed: traditional and modern features are side by side. After visiting Le Marais, I think you can finally go back to your accommodation and rest. Be sure to be ready for Day 2!
Day 2, Paris in five days
I would split day 2 of your Paris in 5 days experience in two. As a first thing in the morning, I would go to the Louvre Museum. You have enough time to dedicate at least the morning to this important building. It is an architectural masterpiece itself and once you get there, you can see art from all over the world.
After visiting the Louvre, you can have lunch and then spending the rest of the day visiting the Islands of the city. If you go to Ile de la Citè and Ile Saint Louis, you can make different activities. You can go shopping or visit the parks on the islands. Plus, you can observe lots of traditional French buildings and Hotels. Here, the word “Hotel” stands for very important palaces of Paris.
I think that on Day 2 is possible to experience the Parisian night-life. You can go to arrondissement 9 if you like pubs or night clubs. Or, if you want to take a romantic or simply a quiet walk, you can go along Canal St. Martin. There is a beautiful atmosphere in the evening.
Day 3 in Paris
If you are visiting Paris in 5 days, you can’t miss Montmartre. It is a very special area. From there, you can see the city from above. Actually, to get there, you need to take a funicular (also known as cable car). After admiring the striking view of Paris, you can go to visit one of the most famous attractions of Paris. The Sacre Coeur Cathedral! Once you are in Montmartre, pay attention to the artists that are always around those streets.
During Day 3 afternoon, you can go to the city center again and visit attractions such as Opera and Place de la Concorde. They are iconic places in Paris. Then, you can also go to take a walk along the Champs Elysees. If you didn’t have enough of the views of Paris, you can also buy a ticket to go on top of the Arc de Triomphe. After that, I would go back to the apartment and rest to be ready for day 4!
Day 4, Paris neighborhoods
I think that if you are visiting Paris in 5 days, you can absolutely dedicate a day to visit attractions that are not in Paris. I love to propose at least 3 alternatives to the city center.
- You can go to Mont Saint-Michel and admire nature wonders, between green areas and beaches;
- Go to Versailles to visit the Palace and the Gardens.
- You can go to spend a day at Disneyland Paris, one of the most famous amusement park.

5 days in Paris, the last day
I would say that now you are an expert of Paris but the truth is that the city is huge. Since day 5 is your last day, I think you have to bring your luggage until you leave the city. So, I think the best solution could be to go to a museum to enjoy a temporary or permanent exhibition.
I would go to Pompidou Center so I would come back to Le Marais district again. Anyway, Paris is full of museums to visit, so you can choose one of them and then go back to the airport. Or, you can also think about spending the last day of your vacation relaxing in one of the Parks of Paris.
