Arrondissement 13 is a very complex one. In this area live the immigrants of the city. So you can visit the biggest China-Town. The McDonalds ads are in chinese too! If you love this culture, go there during the Chinese New Year!
In arrondissement 13 there are also many roads entirely occupied by Italians.
When you go there you can see lots of residential buildings. In addition, you can also visit the Biblioteque Nationale the France (the National Library of France).
Another landmark is the Butte aux Cailles. It is a road full of cafès and restaurants.

In the 13th arrondissement you can find lots of different murals. Art is always a mirror of its epoque. So, in this case, you will see Paris thrhough a very special point of view. When you go in arrondissement 13, you might want to remember that its districts are Salpetriére, de la Gare, Maison-Blanche and Croulebarbe. The most known road are Avenue de l’Italie and Place de l’Italie. You can go in this arrondissement to walk in one of the parks that are there. For example, you can go to Parc de Choisy, Kellerman or Moulin de la Pointe.
If you want to go there by underground, note down the main stations! Gare d’Austerlitz, Bibliotheque François Mitterando, Campo Formio, Chevaleret and Corvisart are important. Glaciere, Les Gobelins, Maison Blanche, Nationale and Olympiades are useful too. Place de l’Italie, Porte d’Italie, Porte d’Ivry and Porte de Choisy referes to the ancient gates of the city. Quai de la Gare, Saint-Marcel and Tolbiac are in the thirteenth arrondissement too.
