  Did you know that in the summer you can go to the beach in the heart of Paris? Every year, in July and August, the Paris municipality organizes Paris-Plage, artificial beaches on the banks of the Seine. You can sink your toes in the sand at Parc Rives de Seine, opposite the city hall.

• Go shopping!
  One of the most loved activities to do in Paris in Summer is going shopping! You can take advantage of Summer Sales.
  Sales are held in Paris from the beginning of July to the end of August and allow you to save from 30% to 70% on standard prices.
  Discounts increase during sales. Around 30% in the first few weeks, then around 60% in mid-summer, and around 80% at the end of August. This means that you don’t need to be in a rush and that you can find great deals even towards the end of the sales season.

• Explore Paris by night
  At night, you can see Paris in a different light. This is one of the reasons why the city is also known as “La Ville Lumière” (i.e. the city of lights). In Summer, thanks to the milder temperatures, it is easier to explore the city after sunset. Take a walk along the Seine between Pont Neuf and Pont de Sully to enjoy the views of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the old buildings that overlook the banks of the river.
