World Music Day 2020 online celebrations

Paris celebrates World Music Day respecting the rules to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.

The Fete de la Musique, also known as Make Music Day or Music Day, is celebrated on June 21st since 1981. Over 130 countries celebrate Music Day! You can usually go to thousands of concerts for free anytime. Also, what is beautiful about this type of celebration is that everyone can participate! It is not important to be a professional musician as long as you love music. Both amateurs and professionals are always very welcomed to take part in World Music Day.

This year, due to the Coronavirus situation all over the world, the celebrations will be online. Paris joins the huge feast too. Here is how.

 

Paris World Music Day online

The World Music Day 2020 will still be celebrated on June 21. But, to avoid any risk, it will be held online.

La Maison de la Radio together with France Inter will propose a huge event. Lik previous year, the Olympia stage will be the scenario of some of the greatest pop musicians of our time. The difference is that this year the concert will take place there but without an audience. It will be aired live from the Olympia stage on France Inter radio, and on social networks. The event will start this Sunday, June 21, 2020, from 11 a.m.

The special guests of World Music Day 2020 are Louise Attaque, Pomme, Katerine, and Etienne de Crécy stand out! Here is the full program:

  •  11 a.m., Pomme
  • 3 p.m., great late Christophe workshop
  • 5 p.m.: Stephan Eicher, Louis Chedid, Christine and the Queens, Clara Luciani and Izia
  • 6 p.m.: Louise Attaque
  • 9 p.m.: Katerine
  • 10 p.m.: DJ set by Etienne de Crécy.
