Summer Sales
Who comes to Paris in August knows that there is enough time to make the right purchases. I also propose a Sunday program to enjoy shopping in Le Marais! Anyway, if you are in Paris from the second half of July, note down that sales end on 6 August 2019! Even if it is just the late part of Summer Sales, you could be lucky and make some affairs in the chicest boutiques!
Paris in August Events – Open Air Cinema
One of the things to do in Paris in August is going to the Open Air Cinema in Parc de la Villette. The parc itself, in arrondissement 19. is such a beauty. Plus, in Summer there are many events to go to. The Cinema en Plein air in Parc de la Villette is one of my favorites because it allows people of all over the world to enjoy beautiful art: cinema! It is something to recommend to travelers since many movies are in the English language!
Paris in August Events with music
Paris is one of the cities to be to music lovers too! Even if many Parisians are on holiday in August, you can enjoy some authentical events that will make you live like a local in Paris.
- Rock en Seine
From the 23rd to the 25th of August, you can enjoy one of the most important festivals dedicated to rock music! It is the Rock en Seine. You can go there by going to the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, not very far from Paris. Even if you might think that this kind of activity is for younger people, the Rock en Seine festival is very crowded with families too!
- Classique Au Vert
If you are into classical music, I suggest joining another music festival, Classique au vert. As you might have guessed, it is a classical music festival where you can listen to music composed by Philip Glass as well as Rachmaninov or Debussy. It is nonconventional classical music! It takes place in the 7 weekends of August and September. Check the Classique au Vert official site to know more!
