Paris information center, selected ones

Before coming to Paris, or once you are in the city, you may need some information that you can only have from someone who lives in the place. If you do not want to collect them on the internet, the best way is to go to a Paris information center. In Paris, there are many tourist offices, and bureau d’accueil (i.e. welcoming center). Here are the best ones, with a super-central location where you can easily go to.

 

 

Paris Information Center

 

  • Hotel de Ville Welcome Center
    This useful tourist office, reference Paris Information Center, is at 29, rue de Rivoli, arrondissement 4. It is close to the station of Chatelet, and Hotel de Ville. Its opening hours are from 9 am to 7 pm, from May to October 31. From November 1 to April 30, it is open from 10 am to 7 pm. They don’t work on December 25.

 

  • Gare du Nord Tourist Office
    If you are looking for a tourist office in Paris arrondissement 10, go to the one at 18, rue de Dunkerque. It is close to one of the most important stations in Paris, the Gare du Nord. It is open every day, except on Xmas, on January 1, and May 1, from 8.30 am to 6 pm.

 

  • Paris Tourist Office at Champs-Elysées
    If you are taking a walk along the Champs-Elyses and you need help, go to the helpdesk of the Paris Tourist Office Open Tour Kiosk. It is at 125 avenue des Champs-Elysees, arrondissement 8. Or, if you would like to go there straight, get off at George V metro station. Opening hours are from 10 am to 8 pm.

 

  • Paris Information Center in arrondissement 9
    If you go at 13 rue Auber, or you are in the Opera metro station area, you can refer to this tourism office in Paris if you have any questions. It is open during all days of the week, from 9 am to 6 pm. During Summer, they close at 10 pm.

 

  • Paris Information Center at Carrousel du Louvre
    When you go to the Louvre, you usually get-off at Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre metro station. It is the same spot you need to go to if you want to collect the information about Paris you need before going to the museum. It is always open, from 10 to 8 pm. On Tuesdays, they open at 11. Very important: it is no ticket office for the Louvre!

 

 

Information Center in Paris, Bureau d’Accueil

The bureau d’accueil is kind of a welcoming center for people who need tourist information about Paris, a last-minute accommodation, a pass for museums or transports, or information about events and shows in Paris. Here are the most quoted and better-located:

  • The Bureau in la Gare de Lyon it’s in the metro station. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 6 pm.
  • The Bureau d’Accueil Opéra – Grand Magasins, is at 11 Rue Scribe. It is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 6.30 pm.
  • Bureau d’Accueil Gare du Nord. It is beneath the glass roof, and it is open from 8 am to 8 pm every day.
