How to take a bath in Paris at Summertime

From the 6th of July to the 1st of September, you can spot and go to Paris plages all around the city. Many streets of Paris have transformed into beaches thanks to the sand or synthetic lawn. Just add deckchairs, sunbeds and sun umbrellas and you have a place to be in Summertime in Paris. These beaches are in windy places so you don’t suffer hot weather too much, even if you don’t want to take a bath.

How to take a bath in Paris? It is possible at the beaches in Paris since there are refreshing kiosks, showers or take a bath in confined areas. Also, if you don’t like sand beaches you can opt for sand-free beaches in Paris!

Where are Paris plages

Plages in Paris are mostly in 2 areas. That is where to go in Paris in Summertime!

  • Paris plages along the Seine
Walking along the Seine you can find sunbeds and sun umbrellas on the lawn or the sidewalks. I can recommend precise spots from Pont de Solferino to Pont Alexandre III on the left side of the side. If you prefer going on the right side, you can consider the area from Pont de Sully and Pont Neuf. Some of these plages also have terraces! Another useful thing to know is that some plages in Paris have babysitting services too. Since there are also many picnic areas, spending an entire day at the beach in Paris is a great idea. A day of relaxation at the beach is possible in a huge city too!

  • Paris plages at the basins in La Villette
I always recommend going to Parc de la Villette, in Arrondissement 19. If you decide to do so, you are in the same area of many plages that are in the three basins of canal de l’Ourcq! This is the place to go if you are in Paris with kids too since you can do many water sports and plages staff propose activities for all ages. The plages of La Villette are famous for being loved by the kids but adults might be thrilled too! Here you can experience water-rollers, paddle boats, kayaks and live a small adventure at the beach.
